In July, we had the opportunity to travel to Honduras to bless new communities and check on old ones.
We were blessed by a group of talented ladies here in Longview who donated more than two hundred handmade dresses—these dresses were beautiful, colorful, and well received. We remembered hearing a young lady tell another that the dress was now her favorite and would only be used on Sundays for church.
We appreciate the Dorcus group for allowing us the privilege of making this special delivery.
Along with these special dresses, we took shoes, toys, and clothes from TREASURES and delivered them to two new communities.
Before distributing these items, we played games, painted faces, passed out balloon animals, and had a fun-filled afternoon.
However, we could not begin without taking the time to share the gospel. After all, it is because of God's mercy and providence that we find ourselves among them.
Before leaving for the second community, we stopped and bought foam mattresses to give to a designated group of seniors. As we delivered these mattresses, we were approached by a young lady asking for one. We paused and, with curiosity, began to ask questions concerning her background.
Genesis's father died recently in a motorcycle accident in a nearby village. Genesis, her mother, and younger brother had to leave their rented home to move in with relatives. Their uncle allows them to live in his kitchen. Their only mattress comes down when the kitchen closes.
We were moved as this 13-year-old told us her story.
After praying and enquiring about logistics, CDI has committed to providing a brand new home to Genesis and her family.
We are humbled to find ourselves in the right place at the right time.
Care Drops continues to provide food to the
special needs school in Copan.
This group of kiddos are a blessing to be around. Their positive attitude is contagious and energizing.
We are also delighted to visit each senior to whom we provide daily meals - they were very grateful and appreciative of this great blessing.
In India, the ladies taking part in our seamstress school are up and running. We provided sewing machines and materials to anyone wanting to participate.
Also, in India, CDI sponsors scholarships for students seeking a better education in the Budamgunta village.
We are always grateful to those who walk with us in this mission.
Know that we keep you in our prayers, and we know that God will work his perfect plan in your lives.

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
